Integrity at its best! In 2004, when my partner and I opened up our RE/MAX franchise, we faced a number of challenges. With a very strong market dominance of traditional firms many asked “You do so well, why do you need to embark on something that no one else has done?” Well that was the impetus of going forward and we have not looked back. Today, we are the fastest growing real estate firm in our Brookline area. We had a vision that if we could provide a first class office space coupled with the education of the systems, services and benefits of RE/MAX, the herd would follow-and they did. Starting with 4 agents and growing to 7 we will begin 2007 with 21 agents. Now that the office building is complete, we expect to double again by 2008. We have a goal of 50 agents by 2009 and ultimately 100 agents using our virtual tools by then end of the decade. We have learned to be big you must THINK BIG. We also believe strongly in the education RE/MAX offers. Today, most of our agents attend regional events, receive designations through RSN, and participate in the myriad tools that are offered. Now with the slowdown in the market, there has never been a better time to share the history of RE/MAX. I explain to the agents the challenges and hurdles our pioneers went through in the early years with excitement & it all resonates wonderfully. A responsibility of mine is to assist the agents in making more money in less time while spending quality time with their families. Integrity is a big part of this mission and my agents see the difference immediately. After graduating from Stonehill College in 1989, Jay found himself looking for an entrepreneurial career.
From 1990-1993 he worked for many downtown Boston law firms in the foreclosure department. Beginning in 1994 that all changed in a positive way. Instead of foreclosing on homes, he assisted his clients with purchasing homes and creating a better life for others.
In 1996 through 2003 he led all agents in sales at his RE/MAX office as an associate. This led him along with his partner to open RE/MAX Unlimited in Brookline, Massachusetts.
